John Hunter, an architect with broad experience in both the United Kingdom and the United States, has been with VSBA since 1986.

He is currently directing the expansion of Allentown Art Museum and the design of a chapel for Episcopal Academy's new campus in Newtown Square, PA. Mr. Hunter's previous work includes management of the design of the Perelman Quadrangle student center project at the University of Pennsylvania, which entailed the expansion and renovation of a group of historically significant buildings at the center of campus. He has also served as Project Manager for the expansion and renovation of the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego and worked on the design of a media / entertainment center for the City of Gary, IN.

Mr. Hunter joined VSBA to act as the production coordinator for the design and construction documents for the Sainsbury Wing addition to the National Gallery, London. When construction of the Wing commenced, he returned to London as the Project Architect for our associate architects during the construction phase.

Mr. Hunter's experience prior to joining VSBA includes work as Project Manager for a large mixed development of office, conference center, and retail units in the Hague, Netherlands; technical advisor for Bovis Construction Ltd., London, where he also assisted in setting up their construction management division; and Project Manager for a variety of projects in England.
